Work In Progress
Design outcomes are the result of numerous explorations, findings and developments. The journey is a crucial part of the end result. Here I have included some of the process of the journey I took with Sissons to create their brand.
Stage one > Mood Boards. Exploration of different styles that could inspire the journey for Sissons. This stage opens lots of questions into company and brand values and sets a tone for our direction moving forward. Please click image to view PDF
Stage two > Colours. Development of a colour palette and colour ways to use throughout their branding. In this case we were inspired by the tones and colours from both the urban landscape and the natural landscape.
Stage 3. Fonts. Finding the right tone of voice and using well chosen fonts are crucial to your brand being received in the manner you wish to speak in. In this case we explored many fonts before landing on our two favourites. Our chosen fonts say so much about Sissons and reflect their vibrancy, creativity and friendly nature and well as being professional and wise. Please click image to view PDF
Stage 4 > Logo. A logo says so much about a brand! So much can be conveyed through a logo to showcase the personality and nature of the brand. In this case vibrancy and creativity were at the fore as were professionalism and strength. Please click image to view PDF
Stage 5 > Brand trial. On selecting our favourite logos, we tried them out on some layouts to help us make our decision on our favourite logo. Please click image to view PDF
Stage 6 > Website. Using all the elements already designed and once we were happy with the brand guidelines, we could start to look into how the website could look. We explored many options to reach our final look and feel. Please click image to view PDF
Stage 7 > Brand guidelines. An essential document for housing all the answers on the developed brand. Within this document every element is covered to guarantee consistency and guidelines for anyone who will work on any elements of the branding.
